Upcoming Education Sessions

Arthritis NSW conducts various education programs, seminars and webinars during the year, throughout NSW, involving a range of different medical, nursing and allied health staff.

These education sessions aim to communicate the importance of early prevention, self-management techniques and other important information to help you manage your condition.

Upcoming Education Sessions

Rheumatoid Arthritis Education and Self-Management Program

Developed by Arthritis WA, Australia’s first inflammatory arthritis specific program will be being held in North Ryde starting in March 2012. Run over 6 weeks, the program covers a number of topics specific to rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Click here for more information about the program.

Newcastle program

Dates: 6 consecutive Thursdays starting 12 July and going until 16 August.
Venue: Hamilton South Community Hall, Corner Fowler and Ogden Streets, Hamilton South
Time: 1.30 – 4.00 pm
Costs: $50 for members of Arthritis NSW and $60 for Basic ANSW members and non-members.

Osteoarthritis of the Knee Education Program

Developed by Arthritis WA, this knee osteoarthritis specific program will be being held in a number of locations in 2012. Run once a week, the program covers a number of topics specific to osteoarthritis of the knee. Cost of the program is $50 for members of Arthritis NSW and $60 for Basic members and non-members. Osteoporosis Education Program

Developed by Osteoporosis Australia, this program will be held in a number of locations in 2012. Run once a week for 2 weeks, the program provides information on what osteoporosis is and how it is diagnosed, managed and what some of the risk factors are. Cost of the program is $40 for members of Arthritis NSW and $50 for Basic members and non-members. Click here for more information about the program.
