Pensioners to be hit by change to medication benefits

From 1 January 2016, a number of over-the-counter medications including osteo-paracetamol will be removed from the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.

This means vulnerable groups such as pensioners could end up paying three times more for their medication.

Last Tuesday, Kate Creedon from Channel 9 News reported on the issue and interviewed our CEO, Jannine Jackson as well as one of our members, Christine Jorgensen.
