Background
ANSW is incorporated as a company limited by guarantee and is registered as a charity (Public Benevolent Institution), with Deductible Gift Recipient status.
In recognition of our Mission to help people living with arthritis, we intend that ANSW services should be available to all people with arthritis and related conditions, regardless of their membership type.
We are also aware that many people who currently are Members may not want access to all Member’ benefits’ or responsibilities.
Change to Membership Structure
We supplemented Arthritis NSW’s current Membership structure by introducing an Affiliate category, a non-paying, non-voting category.
The new category of ‘Affiliate’ will be available as an option to current Members only.
It is recognised that some Members value their governance role and voting rights, and your ongoing participation will continue by maintaining your member status at renewal.
Membership Renewal
To renew your membership online, please refer to your renewal letter.
Before renewing, the Arthritis NSW Board is offering members the option to change to a new affiliate status. Affiliate status is free and as an affiliate you will receive the same benefits as a member, ie Arthritis Matters magazine and the opportunity to join one of our support groups. The only difference is that you will no longer have any Governance functions like attending and voting at AGMs. We hope this new option will be attractive to many of our members.
Affiliate status will only be available to those members who are current Members.
