What is Move it in May?
Move It In May is a physical challenge campaign designed to get people moving and raising funds to improve the lives of Australians living with arthritis.
What do I have to do?
When you register you will be asked to choose a challenge. We’ve included some suggestions but you can choose any physical challenge that you want to complete during the month of May.
CHOOSE ANY PHYSICAL CHALLENGE THAT YOU WANT AT YOUR LEVEL – JUST COMPLETE IT IN MAY!
We all have different physical abilities and so we want you to find a challenge that is right for you. Maybe it will be an epic journey or maybe it will be making sure you hit your steps target each day. It’s up to you. If you need some inspiration, we’ve included some ideas below…
Make a Splash in May
How far can you swim? How often can you swim? From walking a couple of laps of the pool, to swimming a target of 5, 10, 20 kms during May.
Step it up in May
Could you walk 5,000, 10,000 or 15,000 steps a day? Perhaps up and down your street would be a good goal to set. Grab a team and form a walking group!
Ready, Set, Run!
How far could you ride in a month? 100kms, 1,000kms or more? Grab your lycra and set yourself a cycling challenge.
Get on Your Bike!
Do you want to run your first ever 5km or beat your personal best time in a half marathon? You can run your own race in May.

Arthritis and related musculoskeletal conditions (MSK) are the leading cause of disability in Australia. Nearly 25% of absenteeism is related to arthritis and MSK.
There are more than 120 types of arthritis including juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, lupus and gout.
Your fundraising will go a long way to assist Arthritis NSW provide research, development and delivery of health services to adults & kids affected by these conditions.
